In the tradition of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and Dr. Dorothy Height, the women of NCNW have always stood at the front of the fight for justice. On August 28, 2026, we return to the Lincoln Memorial to defend the vote, and we are calling every section, affiliate, and member to stand together.
For ninety years, the National Council of Negro Women has led, advocated for, and empowered women of African descent, their families, and their communities. From voting rights to economic empowerment, health equity, and education, our sisterhood has turned conviction into action across generations.
As an organization of organizations, uniting community based sections, collegiate chapters, and national affiliates, NCNW carries unmatched power to mobilize. The March on Washington 2026 is a moment for that power to be seen. Whether you are a section president, a collegiate member, an affiliate leader, or an individual answering the call, there is a place for you in Washington on August 28.
The vote our foremothers fought for is under attack again. We march to defend it, together.
Add your name to the NCNW mobilization for the March on Washington 2026. Tell us who you are and how you and your section want to help bring our sisterhood to Washington.
